Assignment 10: Management vs. Administration

What are the key differences between management and administration? Explain each of them in detail.

Management is the act of managing people and their work for achieving an organization's goal using its resources and is exacting the discharge of policies.

Administration is an organized process of administering the management of an organization and is exacting the assurance of rimary policies and objectives.

Management is a low and mid-ranked function, it works for the low, medium and top levels organizational needs of an enterprise.

Administration is a high-ranked funcion and it entirely manages the overall management activites and demands of a company with proper planning and organizational resources.

Decisions of the management are controlled by the goals and policies while administrive decisions are controlled by a common beliefe and other forces.

The management style of an organization also can be changed with the removal or employment of a new manager or leader and the administrative procedures or policies are slower to change or, may remain in the place for mane generations of management.

Management focuses to implement new ideas through research and innovative resources and the administration of an organization aims to fulfil all requirements to secure the highest objectivity for their business..

Which is better, management or administration? Explain in detail.

For me, I don't think one is better than the other because in a way they complement each other. Management works by hierarchies, it is an administration where a boss sends his subordinates so that they can achieve the goals that are established within the company while administration is the entire process that exists within the company and thus maintain a good organization and that there are no conflicts within it. Within the administration of a company it is important that there is also good management so that everything can work in a correct way, although in a certain way the administration is established by the high command while the management can be in certain areas.

  1. Very good definitions, I could see that we think similar when saying that there is not one that is more important than another since they complement each other and each one has its functions.

  2. I agree, neither is better than the other. Without administration the management would have no action plan to follow and without management the goals would never be achieved.

  3. I agree with you. The administration is in charge of making decisions for the benefit of the organization and the management makes decisions, but always within the limits imposed by the administration of that organization.

  4. I agree with you in saying that both are important because you have to know how to manage both resources and processes in order to have positive results. Each has its place in an organization and they are equally necessary.
